I’m Listening

“Vanish,
Disappear,
Go away,
You’re too near,”
For far too many
These are the words they hear.
But what if
We change the words
So more of us will be heard?
Such as,
“Let’s talk,
I’m listening,
I want to know,
So that together
Our humanity will grow.”
